Eat Play St. Pete ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Eat Play St. Pete mobile app and the venue owner dashboard at dashboard.eatplaystpete.com (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Account information — email address, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), and optionally your name and business details if you're a venue owner.
Venue listing data — for business accounts: business name, address, photos, hours, descriptions, deals, and events you publish.
Reviews & favorites — content you create in the app.
Support correspondence — messages you send to info@eatplaystpete.com.

Information collected automatically

Device & usage data — anonymous identifiers, app open events, screen views, search terms, and similar analytics events. We use this to improve the Service.
Approximate or precise location — only when you grant the app permission. Location is used to surface nearby venues, events, and deals. We do not store location history.
Push notification token — if you opt in, an anonymous token from Apple/Google to deliver notifications.

Information from third parties

Payments — Stripe (for venue subscriptions) and Apple (for in-app purchases) provide transaction confirmations. We never see your card or bank information.
Google Places — when a venue owner links their listing, we retrieve public business information (name, address, hours, photos, reviews count) from Google.

2. How We Use Information

Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
Process subscriptions and send receipts, renewal reminders, and billing notices.
Send transactional emails (account confirmations, application/claim updates, password resets, Pro subscription lifecycle).
Surface relevant content (e.g., nearby venues when you grant location).
Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse.

3. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Service providers we rely on to run the Service: Supabase (auth + database), Cloudflare (web hosting), Stripe (payments), RevenueCat (consumer subscriptions), Resend (transactional email), Apple/Google (push notifications, app stores).
Other users — content you make public (reviews, your venue listing, deals, events) is visible to other users of the Service.
Legal authorities when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing info@eatplaystpete.com or, for consumer accounts, using the in-app "Delete Account" option. Anonymized analytics events may be retained longer for product analytics.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@eatplaystpete.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and consistent with applicable law.

6. Children

The Service is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access controls, and signed webhooks. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information consistent with reasonable industry practices.

8. International Transfers

The Service is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
